Creative Economy (Part IV) the value added of technology.

The creative economy have found an strategic ally in technology to boost new brand and innovative product and service generation, with high creative content for a great impact in consumer´s experience. In arts with digital an interactive museums, videomapping, living museums, festivals with lightning and 360 soundtrack, interactive historic places with dynamic tours using QR for contents and the most representative in design with videogames and animated cinema.

Developed countries have demonstrated strategies focused in creative industries to boost new products and services with different experience for consumers. Some examples are:

  • MORI Building Digital Art Museum – Japan. The first digital museum worldwide in Oidaba, Tokyo, was inaugurated in 2018. It is a 10 thousand square mts., place with 520 computers and 470 video projectors to recreate 60 artisitic works to let the visitors to interact with. This museum is transformed in every season of the year, therefore it is never the same.
  • Björk Digital- Music and Virtual Reality– Iceland. An immersive experience with 360 soundtrack and virtual reality is a trip through 6 digital art work: black lake, stonemilker and others; it is a visual proposition. In the Binary Art Gallery it can be found Biophilia, an interdisciplinary Björk´s work containing a musical album, an educative project and a multimedia app for mobile devices, to explore songs and to know more about the digital universe.
  • The escence of a painting. An smelling experience. (Del Prado Museum, Madrid España.) The exposition gave a different form of art appreciation; Gregorio Sola, Parfum Academic has created 10 parfum scents for the Museum with basic history of Brueghel & Ruben´s painting “The Smell”; through the sense of smell, visitors can experiment what the artists wanted to express. This opens a window to new deep knowledge of the botany of that time and the development of parfums. This was possible with SAMSUNG collaboration with a digital diffuser to be able to smell that 10 scents.

 

  • Van Gogh, an immersive experience. It is a 360 visual demonstration to be able to interact with the authors paintings, with high technology and 15,000 fts. screens and virtual reality. This experience let the visitors enjoy the paintings using their own senses.

 

However, countries like Mexico also have a place in this industry. Pinoccio, the film, where Guillermo del Toro makes an extraordinary creation of the literary classic, gave him the opportunity to win an Oscar to the best animated movie; through stop motion technique to simulate the movement of each character, with frame by frame photography. A set of skills, technique, creativity, technology, photography and design, added to clay and doh to make each character, let the people  enjoy a story of bygone age.
